Mom, I really miss Disney World, if we don't go there soon my heart is gonna brake. -Samuel Lopez-

Its's been a while since we came from our trip to Florida and I got so busy doing school work and house work that I wasn't being able to update the blog with the latest part of our trip in Disney World. After a week at my sister's house in Jacksonville, we had planned to go to Orlando and attend an event for homeschoolers that also helped to get some really good rates on our tickets. We were able to do our fast passes in advance, but due to changes in the weather during the week we were staying there, we had to change them and ended up with no fast passes for our favorite rides in magic kingdom. We tried to plan the rest of the week as best we could despite that Hurricane Mathew was heading to Orlando in the middle of the week. We had a reservation at the Saratoga Springs the first two nights and after that, we were moving to the treehouse villas, it was going to be our first time at the villas and we were excited. On Saturday October 1st, we celebrated family day (one year after Naty joined our family) and started our morning at Animal Kingdom where we had fast passes to ride Expedition Everest. I remember loving it when I first tried it a long time ago and never rode it again because I stayed back with one of the littles. This time our youngest was able to ride so we all could ride it together. Sammy and I didn't like it. I think it was way to early to try that ride that I felt pretty bad after that, of course daddy and the older kids loved it and kept riding it because the line was so short at that time. Our second fast pass was for the safari which I always like and this time we were lucky the animals were everywhere. One of my favorite rides has been always the river rapids. I remember the last time I went with my parents to Disney world, Mauricio and I were dating and my dad took us to Busch Gardens where we rode the river rapids with my mom while he took pictures of us on it. It was one of my mom's favorite rides too and she always had so much fun. 21 years and 4 children later we got to ride it again, although at a different location but still it reminded me of my parents so much. After using our fast passes in Animal Kingdom we went to Magic Kingdom to use some fast passes before our dinner at Epcot. We wrapped up the day with our special dinner at Via Napoli in Epcot Center. The International festival of food and wine this year at Epcot started September 14th and we got to try and experience great food from all over the world. Via Napoli is famous for having the best pizza in all Disney World and it's true. It really was delicious and their ravioli too. We had a great time and the rain didn't stop us from enjoying our family night at Epcot. On Sunday we went to the winter summertime mini golf. I just love it. We picked the summer time and had a lot of fun. On Monday we had our homeschooling event which was very simple but introduced us to the amazing worldshowcase at Epcot. We've been there before but never really got to see much of it because in one day you can't really enjoy all the fun rides at Epcot and also enjoy the showcase. We tried food from Africa, France, Japan, of course the All American cheeseburguers and much more. In the afternoon we checked in at the treehouse villas. These villas were made with the idea of a tree house but with the size and convenience of a 3 room apartment. Its decorations are similar to the wilderness lodge, with log bunkbeds and lots of beautiful details all around it. We had to check the weather frequently because Hurricane Mathew was getting closer and it looked like it was going to hit Orlando as category 4. The news were very serious and alarmed people to stay inside and away from windows because the wind was going to be very strong. That was when we realized that we were staying at a treehouse!!! Dad went to check if they could move us to the Saratoga again where the buildings are stronger and away from trees. They were so nice and moved to us to an even better place. They moved us to the Animal Kingdom Lodge!!. Whe we starting loading the car we realized that everyone already left and Disney had decided to relocate all the families from the tree houses to other resorts. Our room at the AK resort was huge and comfortable and also had a view to the Savannah. The animals were not in sight at the time we got there so we supposed they were in their corrals. The resort was getting ready to welcome Mathew and we got lanterns just in case we had power problems. We had food and water for a few days and I was prepared to move all the family to the master bathroom in case of strong winds. The night couldn't more calm. Everybody slept well except for me that kept waking up and watching the news on my phone and checking on my sister whom living close to the beach was going to suffer more. Thank God Mathew moved to East and its eye didn't touch land. It left mayor damage in Haiti as it always happen and their poor people always suffer the most. There was some damage around the East coast as well but it could have been a very catastrophic hurricane had not moved East.Because of the Hurricane we had decided to stay until Monday. On Saturday we celebrated daddy's 50th birthday! Went to typhoon Laggoon and had a lot of fun. It was also the first time I rode in most of the atractions because I always enjoyed staying with the littles at the kiddie park. On Monday we went back to Jacksonville and came to Gulf Shores the next day. My sister and brother in law had been taking care of Annie and Charlie while we were in Orlando and we had to pick them up. We've been catching up on our schooling and enjoying the beautiful sunsets now at the beach. We live in such a beautiful community that it seems like we're living in Paradise. The kids got new friends and every afternoon after finishing their work they go out to ride their bikes, swim in the pool or just be silly like they always do. We thank God everyday for all our blessings and yes, as Sammy said, we do miss Disney World but the wonderful memories we made there will be in our hearts forever.
